The first rooms were
realized at the end of the 1960's and were restored existent old homes in
the center of town. Vital to the restoration was the supervision of Aldo
Trionfo, who was collaborating at the time with artist Luchino Visconti,
and in his own right an internationally famous theatre director. (The
fingerprint of Aldo Trionfo can also be found today in the main dining
room of the restaurant).
In 1997 other rooms
were restored in an adjacent building on the rocks, high above the sea.
Almost all of these rooms enjoy a splendid view of the golf of the Cinque
Terre.
The new hotel also
offers the use of a small garden just below the historic
Castle Doria. The Hotel's terrace sits hight above the sea, offering
beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere for relaxing.
The Hotel is in a perfect
position: just minutes from Vernazza's main piazza (Piazza Marconi) and
near the Castle (Castello Doria), it offers beautiful views of the sea and
the village.
